Meet the writers behind the books of Sweet Cherry Blossoms Press

Kim Irby

Kim Irby

Kim Irby spent thirty years as a nurse before transitioning out of the field. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in healthcare leadership. After experiencing three strokes, she turned to writing as a source of solace and tranquility.

Today, Kim is the founder of Sweet Cherry Blossoms Press. With a newfound love for writing and publishing, she has found a way to channel her creativity and passion into a therapeutic outlet. She credits writing and publishing with bringing her a sense of peace and fulfillment that she never experienced in the high-stress nursing environment.

Jenny Tarpinian

Jenny Tarpinian

Jenny Tarpinian holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a graduate degree in Counselor Education, and a Master of Divinity. Her career has spanned roles as a school guidance counselor, hospital and hospice chaplain, and photographer. Throughout it all, her greatest passion has been helping others encounter the love of God and discover their identity in Christ.

Jenny lives in Oakboro, North Carolina, with her husband, Craig. Together, they share five adult children and three cherished granddaughters. They are active members of Gleaning Mission Church. She loves spending time in nature, participating in Bible studies, playing golf with her husband, capturing beauty through photography, and engaging in heartfelt conversations about God.

The Missing Piece is her debut book—a work born from calling, prayer, and a deep desire to see others find their identity and wholeness in Christ.

Nick Geller

Nick Geller

Nick Geller is a successful business owner whose entrepreneurial spirit has always fueled his creativity and determination. But it was the birth of his son that inspired an entirely new passion—children’s books.

As Nick began experiencing stories through the eyes of his child, he developed a love for books that entertain while teaching meaningful lessons children can carry with them as they grow. That inspiration led him to writing, where he combines imagination, humor, and valuable life lessons to create stories that both children and parents can enjoy.

For Nick, writing children’s books is about more than telling a fun story. It is an opportunity to encourage young readers to dream, learn, work toward their goals, and discover the joy that can be found along the way.
